Well, the daughter etc are in their new home... still unpacking to do of course especially as she is away with the Widget at a sporting carnival...... I did have a laugh at her expense. She has changed from 1 child to a partner and 4 children ----- went off to work very pleased with having organised everyone for school/work etc (3 different schools now instead of 1).... went off to the loo at midday to discover no make up and not even brushed her hair!
I worked on getting this UFO done..... A stitch along by Joy in 2023. I used fabrics from my scrap linens. The grey/beige was actually linen napkins from the OpShop.
The stitcheries don't show up very well in the picture

Neighbourhood is looking so pretty. The finished top looks great. Haha, so daughter coping well! What a shame for your visitors, oh well, more sewing time. xx
That’s too funny about your daughter. Seriously, I hope she settles into her new routines well. Great stitching progress, as always. Your little town is looking so pretty.
Enjoy your hot chocolate! Loving your house and sashiko blocks, your two quilts are coming along really well. Have a great weekend
Oh dear - your daughter will have some adjusting to do! Loving your neighbourhood, and those sweet little stitcheries look very cute too.
Oh that was funny the story about your DD… so different her live is now.
The quilt with the stitcheries looks great and I’d like to live in the pretty neighbourhood you’re making.
Nice colourful block and good progress with your Sashiko blocks…
We’re still having warm days in the mid to high 20s but cold at night.
Oh those Tilda fabrics in your neighborhood blocks make my heart swoon Fiona. I did laugh at your daughters story & actually can well relate as I "inherited" 4 step children too ... as well as my own two sons. It can be "challenging" at times - I wish her the very best.
That's a sign of a good mother; children first and if there's still some time left, do make-up and hair, lol. I've seen mothers with clothes inside out so watch for that one to happen too. Love the neighbourhood. The Sashiko blocks are not getting any easier but they look great. Enjoy! ;^)
Oh dear, I hope your friends get well soon. On the up side, more time to stitch. You have made great progress.
LOL...indeed - poor daughter - what a change! she will get there...though maybe some of them are old enough to do their own lunches??
It certainly is winter . . . wont last long though!!
oh dear that did cause a bit of a giggle about your daughter. :) all your projects a looking lovely.
Great to see all your projects coming along, and a UFO finish as well!
I like the look of the floral fun block and am watching with interest as the neighborhood grows.
